Experience the Sahara, the Atlas Mountains and the nomadic life of the Berbers. The Trekforce Morocco expedition provides you with an ideal opportunity to learn desert survival skills, head deeper into the more remote and physically beautiful areas of Morocco and also experience the life of the Berber peoples.
Flying into Marrakesh, derived from the Berber word Mur-Akush meaning “Land of God”, Trekforce staff will meet you at the airport. You will then go through your initial cultures, customs and safety briefing, before heading out to undertake your desert training.We will prepare you for life in the Sahara.
Next we head off into the more remote regions, camping near by Berber villages, sleeping under the stars, being shown areas that are well away from the normal routes. This is where you put your initial training into place, everything from the correct head gear, making the basic yet tasty Berber bread, which with the mint tea provides a very refreshing break, while soaking in the cool, clear waters at the end of a day. Subject to their movements, we also aim to pick up the trail and meet up with the Touareg tribes.
To complete this adventure, we typically end with either camel racing, ATV or similar activity. Then its back to Marrakesh, its snake charmers, souk and the luxury Riad we stay in for the final night. Sitting on the roof, watching the sun going down on Morocco will be the time you decide you must return!
