Started in 1990, Trekforce is one of the original names in the gap year and career break business. Trekforce’s history was developed by the late great Wandy Swales, who had vision that there was an expedition in everyone, combining worthwhile project work with adventure.
I have been proud to work for and represent Trekforce for almost 2 decades. In the past 20 years of operation, we have delivered some of the of the most extreme, worthwhile and challenging rainforest expeditions, projects and placements in the world. All delivered by some of the most experienced and safe staff in the business.
Trekforce now enters a new era of expeditions, leadership and teaching placements, continuing to contribute in a practical way to conservation and exploration. Volunteers learn that with correct training anything is possible as they are typically the first to enter these remote parts of the world. The Trekforce projects can be a life changing experience that can also open up new career opportunities.
